Leylandii

Leylandii are the perfect choice for a fast growing, evergreen, conifer hedge and has the quickest growth rate of 60/90cm per year. It makes a stunning hedge plant that will add elegance to your garden. It is important to keep it to a reasonable height with regular trimming during Mid Summer and Autumn. This will make it easier to maintain as it can grow to be very tall. There are many beautiful Leylandii hedges that are easily maintained at around 5-6ft tall. It is a popular choice of hedging plant if you are looking for a good hedge height on an economical budget. Cupressocyparis leylandii will make a magnificent, dense, formal garden hedge that is perfect for windbreak, noise reduction and privacy.
Cherry Laurel

Due to its density is an ideal privacy screen or to reduce noise and wind. Its adaptability and striking appearance make Cherry Laurel one of the most popular types of Laurel hedging. Cherry Laurel hedging has a relatively fast growth rate of around 30 - 60cm per year, making it an economical way to achieve height and can easily grow to between 20 - 30ft high over time. Easy to maintain at a lower height at 1/5m. It is also resilient and grows well in most conditions, normal to clay soils, suitable for full sun to full shade and inland sites. It is not the most suitable choice for coastal gardens or alkaline soil.
Cornus alba 'Siberica'

Cornus albva 'Sibirica' has green foliage which turns red in autumn and pretty white, spring flowers. After the red leaves fall, the bare red branches of red twig dogwood are left to make a stunning stand alone feature. Thuja occidentalis 'Smaragd' is an evergreen conifer with a naturally conical shape and a very attractive light, emerald green coloured foliage which it keeps all year. These trees make an excellent evergreen hedge due to their naturally dense compact growing habit and their upright conical shape. They require low maintenance in shaping and pruning and when planted together will form a dense hedge that is perfect for sound and wind protection. The Thuja Smaragd is a very hardy shrub, adding to its low maintenance as a hedging option, and will grow in most soil types, providing they are well-drained and in full or part sunlight. will grow tall- easily over 3m in height, making them ideal for instant privacy and protection. It will grow around 30-40 cm per year and can reach a mature height of 4 metres. Thuja Smaragd is a perfect option for both privacy and beauty.
